Monthly Preschool Themes

With the school year approaching, I decided to take the time to figure out exactly what topics and themes I wanted to cover with my daughter. While she will be three soon and tot schooling has been great, I wanted to transition more to monthly preschool themes with a more structured curriculum including preschool learning objectives. While in many ways, it will be similar to our weekly learning themes, separating by month will give us more flexibility and an opportunity to focus on broader concepts

How to use these Monthly Preschool Themes

Much like the weekly learning themes, the monthly ones are goals for the month and the weeks to keep us on schedule. While one of the themes is Language and included letter recognition and sounds, we will be covering 3 letters per month as well and focus will be more intensive during that month. The same goes for seasons; it is apparent that seasons will be discussed during the time of the year we experience it, but seasons as a whole will be something we focus on more all at once during the theme.

If you choose to use my monthly themes, divide them up as you see fit, shuffle them around, and use in whatever order suits your needs. I have chosen 9 themes to be used from September to May in the order I plan to use them.
