With my first pregnancy, I was so excited and nervous I just blurted out “I’m pregnant” with no cute pregnancy announcement.
But with babies number 2 and 3, I planned a little better and found unique and fun ways to announce a new sibling in the house. And while our kids don’t always cooperate, there are lots of fun ideas for telling friends and family about a new baby.
So don’t afraid to get creative!

Collect some pine cones for a cute outdoorsy pregnancy announcement
When I was personally pregnant with #3, I had no idea. And we were on vacation in the White Mountains hiking when I found out at 10 weeks. So we made it a family endeavor to find a variety of sizes of pine cones to announce and it’s still one of my favorite baby announcement ideas.

Notify friends and family of a new baby with a sibling movie poster
Get an awesome photo that funny, horrific, or otherwise memorable and make it into a coming soon movie poster. You could make a parody of a family favorite, spoof your child’s favorite movie, or use a funny phrase to “invent” your own movie.
For instance, maybe your kiddo’s favorite film is Finding dory and they have a magnifying glass looking at mom’s tummy with a little dory on it. Or maybe you use a phrase like “28 days late”. Or maybe spoof something like Sleepless in Seattle, Boss Baby, Knocked up, or some other funny title.
Don’t forget to grab some pregnancy shirts just for fun.
