This contains the first 8 units of the Oklahoma history homeschool curriculum. It starts out with the basics of understanding the geography of the state and other non-time relevant topics. It then goes in chronologically through Oklahoma History, ending the semester with the end of the Frontier and Outlaws and Lawmen of Oklahoma.
Unit I: Geography of Oklahoma
Unit I of the Oklahoma History Homeschool Curriculum is all about the geography of Oklahoma. Students will become acquainted with basic geography identification in order to understand the terrain of the state and how it impacted history. This is an important first step so that all historical information can then relate back throughout the year.
Unit II: Oklahoma Weather & Climate
Oklahoma weather & climate is known to be somewhat unpredictable and most definitely extreme. It is another part of our history and heritage that has shaped us through the years. It is important for students to understand how the weather changes across the state and how it has shaped us as people and our history as a state.

Unit III: Plants & Animals of Oklahoma
Discover the different plants and animals that are unique to the state. Explore which ones we have chosen to represent us. Did you know that we have a state dinosaur or that there are dinosaur tracks in Northwestern Oklahoma?
