Continuing the theme of understanding the basics of what has shaped Oklahoma history, the plants and animals of Oklahoma have been instrumental in the lives of early and even present-day Oklahomans. As far back as dinosaurs to the sacred buffalo and today’s scissor-tail flycatchers, the animals in the area have helped shape our history. Blossoming redbud trees and buffalo grass play key roles in the identity of Oklahoma.
Kara is an author and advocate for positive, grace-filled parenting. She is homeschooler to her 4 children living on a farm in New England. She believes in creative educational approaches to help kids dive deeper into a rich learning experience and has her degree in Secondary Education & Adolescent Childhood Development.
