So I have been breastfeeding for 2.5 years now and almost all of my clothes are stretched out. Therefore, I decided I needed a new wardrobe, but didn’t want to pay the prices of specialty stores or nursing clothing and nursing bras. So instead I got creative and figured out some awesome hacks to make my wardrobe trendy and not dull, but still be breastfeeding friendly. (And of course, not get stretched out like before. After you check out my tips, I would love to know your own breastfeeding-friendly clothing hacks!
Where can I find breastfeeding-friendly clothing?
The answer? ANYWHERE! From making your own DIY nursing tanks and camisoles, to simply pulling down and stretching out v-neck shirts, and even to buying really expensive nursing bras and dresses, there are lots of ways to be in fashion while breastfeeding. But for me, I need something easy and something I don’t even have to DIY that I still feel confident it. So I came up with five hacks to regular clothing for nursing. All of them have truly made my life as a breastfeeding mom SO much easier.

So maybe my first two tips of finding some cute stylish ways to cover while breastfeeding don’t suit you. I mean, I know my kids don’t really go for a cover, but there are always situations where there is a friend or family member that’s less than cheerful about my nursing. So sometimes it’s useful. But really my third tip has CHANGED my life. Literally. It did. I no longer had stretched out clothes and I had cute things that made me feel comfortable and confident in my own skin. And the last one simply make my life so much easier.

Great hacks! My son is five now, so we are waaay past the breast feeding stages. I wish I would have seen this 4-5 years ago though! I bought bras from Ross that had no under wire and were easy the manage during feeding. I love the Hack in #3! GENIUS!

Great advice, specialty stores mark up the specialty items that you can find anywhere (just add in a pinch of creativity). When my husband and I got married, we wanted to have something really simple w/o all the extra costs . . . .so instead of buying a wedding cake, I bought a cake. Everyone loved it and ate it up! Same principle, look at the end goal and make it happen . . on your own budget =)
