The holidays can be stressful, even chaotic. With toddlers and preschoolers around, this statement increases in truth exponentially. How do I know this? Because I have one of each. So I have come up with the perfect DIY gift for moms of preschoolers and toddlers that they can give to their mom, dad can give, or that you can make for your favorite friend with littles.

I was walking through Walmart the other day and even though I had fed my preschooler before going, she started begging for food.

I kept hearing comments from her about what sounded good and how we needed to go back home and fix chili.

Her comments were endless. And we settled on a bag of chips to share with her sister.

We moved on to the next aisle where I wanted to pick up some of my favorite teas by Bigelow and I couldn’t help but bust out laughing that one of their teas was called Constant Comment.

Perfect.

So, of course, I snatched up some and thought it would be the perfect addition to my simple DIY mom gift for a friend.

I went ahead and got some colorful chocolates, a beautiful glass drinking jar with lid and straw, and a box of Salted Caramel tea too.

How to make a thoughtful DIY gift for the mom of a toddler and/or preschooler

I got home and made a few little coupon cards to put inside that reflected the only things I truly wanted for Christmas…

…grocery shopping alone.
…a foot rub.
…showering by myself without interruption.
…a night out.

It was an easy step in making the gift. Just cut out small pieces of paper, writing funny, yet practical acts of service that you can give this hard-working woman in your life.

Then compile an assortment of “mom needs to get away” treats that she can enjoy by herself.

I personally stuffed the tickets, some tea bags of Constant Comment & Salted Caramel Bigelow Teas on top of the chocolates in the drinking jar and topped it off with my favorite winter-time tea recipe and a reminder to take this season of motherhood lightly.

Write out my recipe {below} on an index card with a little note, and then replace the lid.
