On our whole30 journey, our family learned to love POM juice. While the magical fruit has always been a favorite even with our super young early-eaters, it was like manna in the desert to be able to sip some sweet juice.
And it never got old.
But we started adding limes to it, and mixing it up. In fact, one day I made myself a little mocktail that was a lot like sangria. Just non-alcoholic of course. And in the progression that is experimenting with the foods we love to love, things like this strangely satisfying pomegranate blood orange smoothie were born.

It can be difficult to find very flavorful blood oranges, so that’s why tangelo juice is included. If you find the most amazing blood oranges though, you could probably omit the third juice. The banana adds some sweetness without adding sugar or a sweetener.
