How to Use Every ezpz Mat Every Day
Have you heard of the ezpz mat? There are different kinds, but each one is a place mat that suctions to the the table (or any flat surface). They are seriously one of the best inventions for kids (and adults) because they not only help create less of a mess, but they are very versatile for ever day use. In fact, we use them all around our house in various ways. From kids’ meals and near-the-computer spillable snacks to crafting and use with the pets. We have found so many everyday uses for our EzPz happy mats, happy bowls, snack mats, and even the micro mats.

Why we Love our ezpz Happy Mat
First and foremost is because my daughter loves it. She knows it is hers and she takes pride in owning it. Anytime we get a new ezpz product in the mail, she is so excited about them. In fact, we recently got a snack mat in the mail and she literally showed everyone on the subway as we rode home form the post office.
On top of her loving them, they are a great way to present food to her. She is in the toddler stages where she gets fixated on certain foods. So giving her options and not giving her the option to throw the plate since it’s suctioned to the table is really helpful.
They are easy to wash, fun to use, and functional. And for any kids’ product… that’s all I could ever want or need.
How to Use ezpz Snack Mat and Activity Mat as No Spill Party Platters
Not only does ezpz have their original happy mat, they also have some other bowls and products. One of our favorite’s is the activity mat. Not only is it shaped like a flower, but it also has a lot of functional uses. While it’s not necessarily designed for party platters, I found that it makes an really awesome dip platter without the scare of the whole thing spilling. I can suction it to a table when we have friends over playing games, we can have fun, and not worry too much about the sauces spilling (just maybe an accidental elbow).

We also use the snack mat as a party platter and as a daily snack mat. Again, it’s a great way to give my daughter food options without a lot of fuss. I know she loves hummus, therefore I like to put a big dollop of hummus in the bowl, and spread dippable snacks all around the mat. Play the video below to see more.)
Creative non-kids uses for the ezpz Happy Bowl
Personally, one of my favorite uses for our happy bowls is to use them myself. Because I am a blogger and am at a computer for much of my work time, I don’t want to spill food on my laptop. So those late night working at my laptop when I get munchy and grab some quick and easy cereal, I put it in a happy bowl and suction it to my desk next to me. This cuts down on me worrying about destroying my laptop. Using them for soup is also a great plan so that it’s not a hot mess in your lap if spilled!
Especially with kids and a dog in the house, the two sometimes do not mix. Water bowls have contasntly gotten spilled and sometimes we don’t find out until suddenly our socks get wet. We have used our ezpz happy bowl as a dog water bowl in order to cut down on getting the floor wet from babies wanting to dump out the water and overly happy puppies that run into the bowl. And let me be honest… this idea came to me not because I thought of it, but because my toddler slurped her cereal up out of the bowl this way.
Spill Proof Arts and Crafts with ezpz mats
The craft mat is one that I love for working with otherwise off -the-table craft supplies. Glitter, beads, teenie tiny legos, and other small pieces that I don’t want on my floor, spilled, or found my my now crawling baby. Designating a craft space with the mat cuts down on the tantrums my toddler throws when she wants to play with something I don’t want to mess with and cuts down on the mess I would otherwise have to clean. (Granted… it’s a smaller mess 😉 ).
Also, whether it’s for the kids or yourself, I love using the micro mats for painting. They make great small palettes. I can mix colors or just add pre-mixed paint to them and stick them to my palette. For me, it means they’re easier to clean and better contained. For my daughter painting, it means paint doesn’t get in the floor (and the cleaning water goes in a happy bowl). therefore, nothing gets spilled! And this is a mom’s greatest dream.
