Our family of six has half of our birthdays in December. And two more within about 6 to 8 weeks of Christmas. That’s a lot of celebrating! But it then causes the age-old question of how to handle birthdays around the holidays, especially if you have as many parties as us.
Are you in a similar situation trying to balance your child’s December birthday in a way that keeps it totally separate from the holiday season? If so, there are simple ways that you can accomplish that! And for starters, throwing them a party early in November is the most helpful thing we’ve done to date!
If you know someone that has a birthday in December, you’ll often hear them talk about how they felt a bit overlooked or forgotten for their birthday. My birthday is the week before Christmas. So I am here to tell you that in school, I got overshadowed and forgotten because of holiday travel and final exams… or holiday parties when i was in the younger grades.
Therefore, I personally believe it’s important to find ways to make certain that their birthdays shine brightly no matter when it falls. While it might take a tad bit more time and effort on your part to separate the birthday and the holiday from meshing into one another, it’s totally possible to do.

How to make a child feel absolutely special at their birthday
We are so thankful to have been sponsored by Chuck E Cheese and hosted for a party to bring you these fantastic, easy ideas!
For a child’s birthday party, especially near the holidays, make it simple by going somewhere fun like Chuck E Cheese. It’s the best!
It’s literally packed full of fun from the moment that you enter the doors. And guess what? It’s completely all-inclusive. I didn’t have to bring a single thing but myself and my children and their friends.
The walls are lined with games and the pizza and lemonade flowing. A personal party manager, handled all the details for me once there. Pair that with the surprise visits from Chuck E and you’re certain to give your child a birthday that they’ll never forget. My 3 year old, Rhett, was giggling beyond excitement to get to go into the ticket blaster!

Even if your child’s birthday is literally on Christmas Eve or the, you can maximize their birthday party fun.
So if you’re feeling the pressure of trying to plan for the holidays and birthday parties, don’t stress. Chuck E Cheese has you covered.

Go all out to make it as memorable as possible
Don’t be afraid to put all the focus on the birthday. Just because it’s the cultural norm to start prepping for Christmas all the way back in October, it doesn’t mean that you can’t go all out for a December (or November!) birthday.
Don’t let anything overshadow your child’s big day. Make a big deal of it, go all out, and have as much fun as possible. Keep in mind that birthday parties literally only happen once a year so celebrating them in an epic way should happen!

If you’re debating on whether to pull out all the stops to celebrate your child’s birthday, I cannot stress it enough to do so. Don’t let the holiday craze overshadow their day of birth.
The easy way to make it a memorable birthday is to book a party with Chuck E Cheese. Once you check out all their birthday party packages and options, you’ll see just how truly simple it can be.
Get ready to give your child a birthday party that they’re never going to forget. (and make certain to have some fun on all the Chuck E Cheese games as well! They’re not just for kids!)
