Welcome! If you are a part of the Kid Blogger Network and are looking for quality links to follow from trusted colleagues, you’re in the right place. Use the search database or Facebook Group to find links to induce in your round-ups and blog posts to support others in the community.
Request joining KBN Content and Round-up Requests
If you are wanting to join the active facebook group, please note that I do take the time to go through all requests but I only do it on a quarterly basis because it takes time and effort. If you are needing a sooner approval, please send me an email. Most messenger messages do not come through for me (Kara Carrero. Reach me here)
There are two many ways to compile links within your round-up posts or to link to similar content in other types of posts:
1) Use the search engine below compiled by Nicolette Roux over the last several years or
2) request a specific round-up topic in the Facebook group.
Kid Blogger Network Search Engine
By using the search engine you agree to do so ethically and you agree to follow the rules outlined on this page.
Click “Enhanced by Google” to put in your search term.
To search for a different term, the search box will show under the previous search results.
Rules for linking and/or requesting:

Google’s suggestions to refine search results more effectively.
- Only bloggers as well as their virtual assistants are allowed to use the images from search results or from the FB group. Companies need to reach out to bloggers directly for permissions and rights to use images in any capacity.
- Links need to be clear and visible when using a photo.
- Virtual assistants working on their own need to indicate the content they are working on is for sale if they are not compiling it for a certain site. Please be transparent in where content will be published if known while compiling information.
- Those links obtained through the search engine have permission from any publisher that comes up to link and use one image with attribution.
- All links from either the search engine or the FB group are to be do-follow links as our focus is in building community. If you are definitely no-following a link, it must be indicated to those offering their links to our request as a sign of transparency.
- If you are someone offering your link for a given post and do not want any images included in any way, shape, or form then you must indicate it. If you are fine with an image being used but not in a collage, make sure to note of it.
Example round-up request form
When requesting in the facebook group please use this example request form (effective June 20, 2016. Posts will have comments turned off until edited to reflect this change). **
TOPIC: __
DUE: /
FOLLOW LINK? (Y/N)
FOR: (website name or social media account)
POSSIBLE COLLAGE? (Y / N / NA)
LINK TO FINISHED POST:
More information on the new follow/no-follow rule. https://www.facebook.com/groups/KBNroundups/permalink/1093090070730376/
**Please note, this is not meant to hinder anyone or “be strict” but to make sure each of us are protected and know exactly what someone is asking for. This will also help streamline requests because they will be following the exact same format for easy finding of topics.
Please also link to the finished post. This lends some accountability, but it also helps those know that it’s finished and maybe they’ll even help promote! 🙂
When you come back to leave your completed link please click the top right arrow and “turn off” comments for your post. See how here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KBNroundups/permalink/1093407754031941/
