Every day, parents like you are reading and sharing great information through social media. Sometimes it’s simply great because it made us laugh, other times it was thought provoking. Either way it’s absolutely newsworthy!
Starting this month, I am going to be gathering up and sharing with you the most popular ones from the Extremely Good Parenting community to give you a snapshot and a go-to resource for some really incredible information.

Brain Starvation in Children
And it’s NOT JUST BOYS! It’s just that boys need more fats. This is completely fascinating, enlightening, and informative. Definitely worth a read and even saving.
Sleep recommendations for children of all ages
I think this was especially popular because we’re heading into the back to school season. I would love to know what you think about this!
Talking about sex even with young kids
I personally really loved the part of this post that talks about how discussing sex isn’t one or two big conversations you sit down to have but lots of little ones over the years.
The wastefulness of the Olympics
Don’t get me wrong, I love the summer games. However, this pictures are definitely food for thought. I know that in the last month much has been talked about in terms of people advocating for a singular place to hold the games every year. I am not sure what a great answer would be, but I definitely don’t want to see money get poured into a 2 week event to become a wasteland for my kiddos!
A parenting trick from the Royal Family
This is something we have absolutely used and it’s very effective when communicating with our children. I also loved the photos and stories here. Especially the one about the Queen scolded William for doing this.
The love your spouse challenge
What do you think about this? I personally believe that it’s ok to show a highlight reel even if just for yourself because marriage is hard. But worth celebrating the good times!
Parenting Olympics Meme
Oh Phelps, thank you for the best picture from the games.
The link between clutter and depression
I think as parents, clutter can many times be a very real part of our lives. This was both interesting and in a strange way validating. And maybe a little motivating.
The Truth About Marriage
A little bit of marriage perspective for you!
Being a SAHM isn’t rewarding
I think this is a conversation that every expectant mom needs to have with her spouse. Because it’s both extremely rewarding and not anything like what you could ever expect.
