It is and it doesn’t even have to take a ton of effort. Whether you’re honoring the hardworking & tireless mom you know with a special homemade gift or are trying to escape the madness in your own life, this simple DIY mocha mint body scrub is to die for.

DIY Mint Coffee Sugar Scrub
Body scrubs aren’t difficult at all, in fact, they are such an easy way DIY gift to celebrate those extraordinary moms in our lives that we love so dearly and that deserve time to refresh and wind down.
As a mom myself, I know that I get burnt out and worn thin. So there is nothing better than creating an at-home spa day gift basket including coffee, a homemade scrub, and of course childcare so they actually get to enjoy it.
And there is nothing wrong with gifting it to yourself. Because, yes, you are extraordinary too, mom! And it’s just one more way to care for yourself so you can in turn pour whole-heartedly into the family you adore.

1/2 cup ground coffee
2 Tbsp melted coconut oil

Just in time for the holidays, New England Coffee is offering some unique flavors that would be great to give for our loved ones to enjoy and/or include as a unique spin on making a refreshing holiday-inspired body scrub. In this recipe, we used Mocha Mint, but they also have Eggnog and Gingerbread Cookie in the New England coffee shop!

Easy homemade coffee scrub instructions
In a bowl mix all the ingredients and then store in an airtight container. If making it as a gift for an extraordinary loved one, make sure you make an instruction label encouraging them to use a loofah or a bath mitten to help scrub approximately the size of a quarter on thighs, arms, or feet.
This scrub in particular was not made with sugar, but it would probably smell even better if you chose to!

For more than 100 years New England Coffee has been dedicated to making sure that their passion for coffee matches the needs of every mom. From those who prefer it old fashioned and black to the young mom posting her favorite seasonal varieties on Instagram or Facebook.

We have been celebrating Thanksgiving all month long with a Thankfulness Tree, and we’ll celebrate Christmas all December long with Advent activities!
We are planning to spend the holidays at my mom’s house. Lots of baking and quality time!
We just got back from a trip to Chicago to kick off the holiday season with my girls, my husband, my parents, and my brother and his fiance! We’ll travel to spend time together and, of course, meet up to eat, exchange gifts, and spend quality time together.
We plan on celebrating the holidays by keeping our families focus on the real reason we celebrate, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. We hope to serve others and share God’s love with our community, one person or family at a time! Our family already helped pack and deliver food boxes for Thanksgiving with our church family, and the two little ones picked out toys to donate to a local toy drive. I hope we’re just getting started!! I just pray that God guides me as a mother to not get distracted by what the world says is important, and to keep our minds on Him! Much love to you sweet lady!! 🙂
We usually spend the holidays with family and friends, however, we just moved across country away from our loved ones. So, we’ll be celebrating this holiday season by making new memories together in San Francisco!
My husband and I fortunate to have our families get together every Christmas Eve! We put out a great appetizer spread, do a gift exchange and play games or cards. 🙂
We have family coming into town so we will be spending lots of time together. My husband will be off work for two weeks to joins. Christmas Eve will be spent making tamales which has become one of our newest traditions.
I plan on spending the holidays loving on my kids and husband now that the semester is over! For Christmas we will host family and friends in our home and have a tex-mex dinner rather than the traditional Christmas dinner!
I would love a quiet intimate family celebration but we have 3 or 4 families to celebrate with this year. Also my daughters birthday is Christmas Day so it makes it even more complicated. I’m just lucky I get to be with my family no matter what.
We will be traveling to our parents house for Christmas and New Years. We are very excited for the holidays this year because we have a new edition to our family and we are excited to start some family traditions of our own.
Anxiously awaiting a new grandbaby!
We start our celebrations on Christmas eve with church then home for brie, fruit, and shrimp cocktail while the kids get to open their Christmas eve boxes which hold new pjs, our Christmas eve cups, hot chocolate mix, 2 new christmas books [1 christian, an santa-based] and their new ornaments to put on the tree. This is the time that both sides of the family get together as 1 big family. ❤ I love christmas christmas eve more than christmas itself. So much love, family and tradition.
This year, we are crafting our little hearts out. With 3 little ones at home and the chilly temps, there’s no better way to spend the holiday season 😉 Also, trying to keep the focus on Jesus and reminding my kids that’s this is what the season is truly all about. And the holiday season can’t be complete without great Christmas music, hot chocolate, & snuggles. That’s been a favorite combination here these days 🙂 The best!
We spend time with family and friends 🙂 Many holiday parties for all of the kids clubs and organizations plus our annual family Christmas Eve Party. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen baking as well 🙂
We visit with family out of state and come back and celebrate with local family. It’s like a two week production. Also I can almost smell your body scrub- awesome DIY gift recipe idea.
My daughter will be home from college to celebrate the holidays with us. My son is so excited to spend time with his big sister!
My dad just had back surgery, so we will be keeping him company and watching non-stop Christmas movies. Hopefully, we will get a hike in everyday, too. Happy holidays!! 😘

Love time with our family and friends! From
community group, church Christmas service, holiday parties, road trips to see family and celebrating the birth of Christ, it’s truly a wonderful time of the year!
It’s Adams first Christmas! We have family coming in to celebrate this year and it’s our first year to host. We are going to bake, go to Christmas Eve service, and open presents. It will be fairly low key but we are very excited.
I have recently started making my own soaps and lotions so I will be giving those out as gifts this year. Here’s my favorite lotion recipe:
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup shea butter
10 drops essential oil (I like lavender)
Whip it together for five minutes in with a hand mixer
We always celebrate Christmas Eve at my parents house, German-style. Big meal (goose not turkey), open presents. Christmas morning is just for snuggling on the church while the kids enjoy their gifts 🙂
On the couch lol
We will celebrate the holidays this year at home. Just family. No parties to go to, no events to attend … I will cook and bake something delicious and we will talk about all the memorable moments that happened to us during this year and in the evening we’ll watch a movie. That’s the plan!
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season. Many blessings to you!!
I plan to celebrate by having a great dinner together and relaxing by watching Hallmark holiday movies
I will celebrate the holidays all alone. My husband is very ill, and stays in his bedroom. I will decorate the tree by myself and drink New England Coffee. I love Mocha Mint, hot or iced!
