    What Families Are Saying

    Blayne B., Parent of 6

"Kara's novel study has blown us away! It's engaging, thought-provoking, and adaptable for all ages. It is incredibly comprehensive and chock full of true substance unlike some studies we've done in the past. The imagery is beautiful, and the content is top notch! Kara Carrero is talented and passionate, and it shows in this unit!"

Barbara M., Homeschooler of Middle Grade Students

"I finally had the chance to look everything over. What an amazing program you've developed! Thank you again for sharing."

    Naomi D., Kids ages 8 & 10

"This study is FANTASTIC! Not only does Kara provide excellent reading comprehension and critical thinking portions, my favorite section was the personal reflection questions. It broadened my ideas of subjects that can be taught with classic literature. The STEM Lab is way outside my wheelhouse, but the step-by-step instructions make it much less intimidating!"

    WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

CROSS-CURRICULAR CONNECTIONS Literature becomes the gateway to history, science, geography, and life skills—all in one cohesive study.

REUSABLE & ADAPTABLE Use with multiple children over 3-4 years. Each child experiences it fresh through age-appropriate materials.

IMMERSIVE LEARNING Escape rooms, period recipes, character studies, and hands-on projects that make stories come alive.

FAMILY-CENTERED Designed for parents and children to learn together, not just hand-off curriculum.

    Common Questions

Q: What ages are these designed for?

A: Our studies are differentiated for grades 3-12, with a sweet spot for middle school. (But have 6 children of my own and teach everyone from Pre-K to High School together!)

Each includes multiple complexity levels so you can use the same study with different aged children.

Q: Do I need teaching experience?

A: Not at all! We provide detailed guides, discussion questions, and step-by-step instructions. Many parents tell us they feel more confident teaching literature and history with our materials than ever before. My mission is to empower every parent to ignite learning in their own home without feeling like they have to do all the learning first.

Q: How long does each study take?

A: Most families complete a novel study in 4-6 weeks, but you can adjust the pace to fit your schedule. Some spend a full semester diving deep into connections. And some even pull together a cross-novel study to supplement (or become) their year-long history curriculum.

Because they're cross-curricular in nature, it's easy to make them last a long time, but with the color-coded integration guides, it's also manageable to do a short study with core activities.

Q: Can these work with our existing curriculum?

A: Absolutely! Use them as standalone literature curriculum or as enriching add-ons to any program. They're designed to complement, not complicate.

Q: What if my child doesn't like reading?

A: Our immersive approach often transforms reluctant readers because they're not just reading—they're experiencing. The hands-on elements give context that makes the story meaningful.
