Busy Bags by Theme
Starting on December 30, we will be starting a year’s worth of themes! Each week we will focus on a new concept whether it’s building, colors, or patterns, we will be exploring the world around us. I have put together s few small bust bags to correspond with the themes we will be doing. Here are a few sneak peeks!
A red busy bag filled with about 6 red items. It includes a red pot and red cubes that can be used for fine motor skills. A book of red stickers and a red piece of paper as well as a red marker. Well, you get the idea.
My favorite one though is the pattern theme I put together in a coupon expandable sorter. This is an easy way to put together busy items that stay very organized.
- The first item is a cardboard coaster set from the target dollar spot that’s a sandwich. This teaches patterns in that the bread goes on either side of the other food.
- Then there are just some piece of colored paper to sort into as many different patterns as possible
- Finally, make patterns with binder clips and corresponding work cards.
With a travel Jewelry Case, it’s easy to make a letter theme busy bag. You can include sensory letters, clothespins to organize on the ring holder, and flashcards to match with clothespin letters.
